Dice are necessary for playing Gateway: Return to Galwyndor, specifically, at least one of each of the following:
- d20
- d8
- d6
- d4
Dice are used to calculate attack damage most commonly, but other uses for dice appear sporadically throughout the game, such as in disengaging, certain abilities, and to determine which player goes first at the start of a game.
